How do I use a coupon?
At the counter, open Deal Dropper, tap the coupon, and show the screen. The cashier scans the code or types the 6 letters and numbers. Your screen says "Redeemed!" when it's done.
My code says it expired.
Codes work for 5 minutes, so a screenshot can't be shared. Tap "Get a new code" and show the new one.
Can I use the same coupon twice?
Each business chooses how often its coupon works: every day, every week, every 2 weeks or every 28 days, at each location. After you use one, the app shows the date it's ready again.
I didn't get my sign-in code.
Check your spam or promotions folder. Codes expire after 10 minutes; tap "Send a new code" to get a fresh one.
How do I cancel?
Open Deal Dropper, tap "Manage membership", and cancel there. You keep your coupons until the end of the month you paid for.
How do I delete my account?
Email support@dealdropperz.com from the address on your account. We'll delete it within 30 days.
Businesses
How do my employees redeem coupons?
On any phone, go to the Deal Dropper site, tap Business sign in, then Employee, and enter your store login and passphrase. They can only redeem coupons; they can't see your dashboard or change coupons.
Someone left. How do I change the passphrase?
In your dashboard, under Employee sign-in, tap "Make a new passphrase". Every phone using the old one is signed out at once.
Why is my coupon "Waiting for review"?
Deal Dropper checks each business's first coupon before members see it, usually within a day. After that, your new coupons go live straight away.
What does it cost?
Nothing. Listing is free, with no fees and no revenue share. You just honor the coupon.
Register (POS) add-ons
How do I connect my register?
Install the Deal Dropper add-on from your POS system's app store. In your Deal Dropper dashboard, tap "Connect a register" to get a one-time connection code, and enter it in the add-on. You only do this once per location.
How does the cashier apply a coupon?
Open Deal Dropper in the register, scan or type the member's code, and the discount comes off the order. If the code isn't valid, the add-on says why, and nothing is applied.
What if the sale is voided or refunded?
Void it as usual. Where your POS tells add-ons about voids, Deal Dropper gives the member the coupon back automatically. Otherwise, email us and we'll undo it.
My register isn't supported yet.
You can still accept Deal Dropper today: staff redeem on any phone with your store login, then apply the discount in your register as an open discount.
How do I disconnect?
Uninstall the add-on from your POS app store, or ask us to disconnect it. Your coupons and history stay in your Deal Dropper dashboard.
